This article provides step-by-step guidance for creating a FREE class or event using ZenGRM. If your event is ticketed, refer to Creating a Ticketed Event.
Before reading this article, we recommend referring to Essential Steps for Creating an Event in ZenGRM for full context and preliminary steps.
After you've submitted the REQUIRED DETAILS for your event, the REGISTRATION BUTTON modal will open. Registration buttons are created so guests can register for your event via your event web page, or via invite. If your event doesn't have a registration button with available space, potential guests have no ability to register for your event.
You can name your button in the BUTTON NAME textbox. This name will appear on the button on the event web page. By default, it will be called Register, but you can customize it to your preferences. You can also change the name of the button at any time.
The DESCRIPTION textbox allows you to provide more context regarding this registration button.
Please note: This isn't immediately available on the event web page. It's accessible by clicking an info icon next to the button. If you have information that is imperative for your guests to know before registering, we'd recommend putting it inside the event description instead.
GUESTS PER REGISTRATION refers to the number of people you want to be associated with a singular registration. For example, if your event allows people to bring a plus one or a support person, you'd select 2 in the drop down menu. For more information regarding this process, refer to Guests per Registration.
Please note: Selecting 2 or more for GUESTS PER REGISTRATION does not mandate that the primary registrant submit their plus one's details. It simply gives them the option to.
MAX REGISTRATIONS WITH THIS BUTTON refers to the number of guests that are allowed to register for the event using this registration button.
If the capacity of your event is dependent upon how people attend, or you have a unique registration scenario, please refer to Registration Options with Registration Buttons.
DISPLAY ON EVENT WEB PAGE needs to be checked in order for the registration button to appear on your event webpage. If you ever need to remove the register button from the event web page, you can uncheck this box.
For example, if this is an invite-only event, you can uncheck this box. For more information on invite-only please refer to Sending Invites.
If you would like this registration button to become a waitlist button once it reaches capacity, check the box next to ACTIVATE WAITLISTING.
After checking that box, the MAX WAITLISTED WITH THIS BUTTON textbox will become editable. Type in the preferred capacity for the waitlist.
If you do not want a waitlist for this registration button, leave ACTIVATE WAITLISTING unchecked.
Please note: If you chose to enable waitlisting, you should customize your waitlist confirmation message and waitlist confirmation email after saving this registration button.
Once all fields in the REGISTRATION BUTTON modal match your preferences, click SAVE INFO.
You can refer back to your registration button at any time by navigating to SETUP and clicking the name of the registration button to reopen the modal. All registration buttons are located below the REQUIRED DETAILS section.
You can create another button by clicking +CREATE NEW REGISTRATION BUTTON. For more information regarding this process, refer to Registration Options with Registration Buttons.
Next, navigate to EMAILS.
By default, anyone who registers for your event using your registration button will receive the DEFAULT CONIFRMATION email. ZenGRM has a pre-saved template to ensure registrants don't receive an empty email, but you should customize it to your preferences. For more information regarding this process, refer to Default Confirmation (Free).
Once your confirmation email is saved, navigate to WEB PAGE.
Click PREVIEW EVENT WEB PAGE.
Your event web page will open in a new tab. We can see how registration appears to our intended audience. If you'd like, you can submit a test registration to understand how the registration workflow works.
Thank you! If you have questions about this workflow, or any other features in ZenGRM, please contact support@zengrm.com
