In this article, we'll discuss the relevance of invites within the STATUS page.
Once you've created your event, but have not yet invited people, your STATUS page will look like the photo below. There are tables with different stats, but all of the numbers are 0. This is because nothing has happened yet - nothing has been launched, no one has had anything to respond to.
Once you've invited people, this page starts to provide useful stats about your event. For example, the event I'm managing is an Urban Planning & Design seminar. The capacity of the event is 100 people, so I've invited 177 people in the first round. Once that invite successfully launches, my status page looks like this:
- The LAUNCHED column refers to how many invites have gone out.
- The AVAILABLE column refers to how many available invites there are currently in circulation.
- The EMAILS DELIVERED stat in the table to the right refers to how many invites have gone out.
The next day, when I go to the STATUS page, there are some stats available to me.
LAUNCHED is still 177, because I haven't sent any more invites. If I were to send more invites, this number would rise commensurately.
CONFIRMED indicates the number of people who have registered for the event.
DECLINED indicates the number of people who have declined the invite, indicating that they will not attend the event.
AVAILABLE indicates the number of outstanding invites, meaning the recipient has not yet confirmed nor declined the invite.
If you want to resend the confirmation email to confirmed guests, click the envelope icon next to the number in the CONFIRMED / SOLD column.
If you want to resend the invite email to outstanding recipients (i.e. people who haven't responded yet), click the envelope icon next to the number in the AVAILABLE column.
These number at the bottom of the MAX FREE column indicates how many free spots are available at your event. My event is entirely free, with a maximum capacity of 100, so that's the number that displays here.
The table to the right provides more stats about your invites.
MAX FREE TARGET refers to the percentage of available spots at your event that have been filled at this point. For example, my event's capacity is 100, and 29 people have registered, so the percentage displayed here is 29%.
EMAILS DELIVERED refers to the number of invites that have been sent out.
RESPONSE RATE refers to the percentage of invitees have given you an answer regarding their attendance, whether that's confirm or deny.
ACCEPT refers to the percentage of people who are confirmed from the people who have responded.
DECLINE refers to the percentage of people who declined the invite from the people who have responded.
After inviting people, I waited a week to open it up to the public by making it live on my company's event website. As people register, this number will increase. You can click the corresponding envelope icon to resend their confirmation emails.
